Rowley Nació en Liverpool, Inglaterra. Rowley comenzó a practicar el skateboard con 12 años.
En 2001 fue nombrado Skater del Año por la prestigiosa revista especializada Thrasher, y apareció en varias entregas de las exitosas sagas de videojuegos Tony Hawk's, aumentando su fama a nivel internacional. También en Estados Unidos se aventuró en la parte financiera del skateboard y en el diseño de zapatillas. Geoff Rowley se convirtió en uno de los dueños de Flip Skateboards, empresa que le fichó y con base en Huntington Beach, California. A su vez, comenzó a diseñar sus propios tennis para Vans con los modelos Rowley XLT, XL2 o XLIII, entre otros.
Rowley es uno de los mejores skaters del mundo y uno de los mejores pagados. Además de Flip y Vans, Geoff tiene como patrocinadores a compañías como Volcom, Ricta Mob Grip Boost Mobile o Independent Trucks.

Rowley started skateboarding at age 12 in Liverpool, England. His first sponsor was Deathbox Skateboards and in 1994 Rowley moved to Huntington Beach California with fellow Flip skateboards team riders Tom Penny, Rune Glifberg and Andy Scott, prior to the move Deathbox skateboards had gone into retirement and the new and improved Flip Skateboards was born. After two weeks in sunny California Rowley landed the cover of Transworld Skateboard magazine and decided to live and relocate there full-time, he currently resides in Long Beach, California. In the year 2000 Rowley was awarded the coveted Thrasher Magazine skater of the year.
Rowley has had a signature line of shoes with Vans footwear since 1999 when his first vulcanized pro model was produced, helping start the current vulcanized revolution and re-introducing a whole new generation to the benefits and functional superiority of the vulcanized process. In 1999 Rowley performed a 50/50 grind on the Staples center ledge in Los Angeles for his first Vans ad and the photographic image shot by Dan Harold Sturt gained him much recognition and helped push the boundaries of modern street skateboarding.
